HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER |
|
From the sections Products > Teapots and Products > Sets and from the Home Page, when you click directly on a product, you will access its information sheet, through which, by indicating the amounts you desire and clicking on the button "Add to Cart", you will add the selected products to your virtual shopping cart.
After this first phase you will access the shopping cart in which you will see listed all the products you have selected; at this point you may modify the quantities, remove items, and add as many items as you want.
Once you have added to the shopping cart all the items you desire, you may proceed to make the purchase by clicking on the button "Proceed with the PURCHASE":
- if you have never registered on tea-sense.com and you are a new customer, you can decide to register by entering the data that is requested in the registration phase or you can proceed with the purchase without registering
- if you are already registered on tea-sense.com, you simply need to enter your Username and Password (obtained during registration) and proceed with the purchase
At this point, after having examined a preview of your order and having continued to the section "Information and Payment", you can choose your method of payment between:

In this phase if you have not decided to make your purchase using your Username and Password, you will have to enter all your personal information that is requested.
You may specify a delivery address for your order that is different from the one you indicated at the time of registration.
Therefore, to proceed to place the order simply click on the "SEND ORDER" button, confirm for the last time on the next page ("CONFIRM"), and then, depending on the method of payment chosen, proceed with one of the following procedures:
- Payment by Credit Card: you will be redirected, by means of a secure connection with SSL protocol, to the payment page on which, by following the directions indicated and entering the requested data, you can make the payment.
- Payment by Wire Transfer: your order will be recorded in our database while waiting for confirmation that your payment has been credited to our bank account; only at that point will be initiate the procedure for shipping the order.
You will receive an e-mail message with a summary of your order, which may include confirmation that the operation was successfully concluded (in the case of payment by Wire Transfer, also the terms and conditions of the payment will be included). |

DELIVERY OF YOUR ORDER |
|
TEA-SENSE® has chosen the courier service BARTOLINI as its deliveries partner.
You will receive your ordered products, from the time of your order and/or verification that payment has been made, in 3 to 7 working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) for Italy and in 4 to 8 working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) for the other countries.
However, the amount of time required for filling your order should be considered approximate. In fact, Ofmecc S.r.l. requires 1 or 2 working days to locate, pack, and invoice your orders.
It takes 2-3 working days for Italy and 4-6 working days for the other countries for the courier service BARTOLINI to deliver your order.
The courier service does not call before making a delivery.
If no one is home at the time of the delivery, the courier service will leave a note and will try again to deliver your order the next day. If the second delivery attempt is also unsuccessful, the undelivered package will be stored at the nearest Bartolini office.
Over the next three days you should contact us to give us information regarding the delivery of your order; we will then pass these instructions on to Bartolini to allow them to deliver your order to you.
What to do when the product is delivered
When the shipping company delivers the order, the customer must ensure that the package is in good condition, that it has not been damaged, and that it is not wet. If there are any doubts regarding the good condition of the package, you should refuse the delivery and contact our Customer Service representatives at +39-0535-22664. |

SHIPPING CHARGES |

ITALY: from a minimum of € 8 to a maximum of € 30.
The shipping charges are calculated automatically. At the time of your order the exact amount of the shipping charges will be indicated in your virtual shopping cart.
The system will calculate your shipping charges based on the number of items purchased, as follows:
- from 1 to 10 items, shipping charge of 8 euros.
- from 11 to 20 items, shipping charge of 16 euros.
- more than 20 items, shipping charge of 30 euros.
EUROPE: from a minimum of € 12 to a maximum of € 35.
The shipping charges are calculated automatically. At the time of your order the exact amount of the shipping charges will be indicated in your virtual shopping cart.
The system will calculate your shipping charges based on the number of items purchased, as follows:
- from 1 to 10 items, shipping charge of 12 euros.
- from 11 to 20 items, shipping charge of 19 euros.
- more than 20 items, shipping charge of 35 euros.
OUTSIDE THE EEC: from a minimum of € 19 to a maximum of € 38.
The shipping charges are calculated automatically. At the time of your order the exact amount of the shipping charges will be indicated in your virtual shopping cart.
The system will calculate your shipping charges based on the number of items purchased, as follows:
- from 1 to 10 items, shipping charge of 19 euros.
- from 11 to 20 items, shipping charge of 29 euros.
- more than 20 items, shipping charge of 38 euros.

PAYMENT |
|
The price of the products and the relative shipping expenses may be paid either by credit card or wire transfer.
If payment is to be made by credit card, the financial information (for example, the credit/debit card number and its expiration date) will be forwarded, by encrypted protocol, to the bank Banca Sella or to other banks, which provide the relative remote electronic payment services, without any possibility whatsoever of third parties having access to said financial information. Furthermore, this information will never be used by Ofmecc Srl for any other purpose than completing the purchase process for your order and issuing a refund if the products should be returned due to the exercising of your right of withdrawal or if it should be necessary to prevent, or report to the police, the commission of fraud on tea-sense.com.
For payments using a credit card the information is handled directly by the bank Banca Sella S.p.A., a leader in the management of online payments. The information is sent using 128-bit encryption (SSL). The best security available.
The person placing the order must be the same person as the credit card holder.
Ofmecc Srl reserves the right to request a fax of the front and back of the credit card used to place the order and a valid identity document.
Payment by wire transfer is subject to the following conditions: the wire transfer must be received within 5 working days from the date the order was placed. After that date the order will be considered null and void. The message to be included on the wire transfer must specify: the number and date of the order, the first name and surname (family name) or the company name of the customer; our bank information will be included in the e-mail that you receive in confirmation of your order. It is understood that, if wire transfer is chosen as the payment method, the products will be shipped only after the amount has been verified as being credited to our bank account. Given the current state of the banking system, an amount transferred by wire is credited to the recipient’s bank account no earlier than 1-3 working days from the date the wire transfer is initiated.

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL: TIME NECESSARY AND PROCEDURE TO REQUEST A REFUND |
|
The right of withdrawal is governed in conformity with law, and the customer-consumers (that is, physical persons who purchase the product for purposes not in connection with their professional activities, or who make the purchase without indicating their VAT registration number on the order form) have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract for any reason whatsoever.
In this case you have the right to withdraw from the contract stipulated with Ofmecc Srl, without penalty and without any need to specify the reason, within ten (10) working days from the date you received the products purchased on tea-sense.com.
You will need to return the products to Ofmecc Srl, and Ofmecc Srl must receive them, within thirty (30) working days from the date you received the products. Shipping, until it has been confirmed that our warehouse has received the products, is your complete responsibility.
The right of withdrawal is applied only to those products in good condition at the time they are returned and cannot be exercised for those products which, due to their nature, cannot be shipped again or run a risk of being altered or deteriorating rapidly.
If the right of withdrawal is exercised according to the procedures and within the specified time limits, Ofmecc Srl will refund any amounts that it has already collected for the purchase of the products, net of the shipping expenses for delivering the purchased products.
Ofmecc Srl will refund to you, in addition to the amounts collected for the purchase of the products, also the shipping expenses for delivering the purchased products, only if the products are returned for reasons attributable to Ofmecc Srl, such as if the products do not possess the promised essential features, if they have manufacturing defects, or if there were errors in their delivery.
The amounts will be refunded to you in the least possible amount of time and, in any case, within fifteen (15) days after the date on which Ofmecc Srl receives the returned products. We will initiate the refund procedures once it has been verified that the terms and conditions specified above have been correctly executed.
Whenever the recipient of the products specified on the order form is not the same person who paid the amount due for their purchase, the refund of the amount, if the right of withdrawal is exercised, will always be paid by Ofmecc Srl to the person who made the payment.
If the procedures and the terms for exercising your right of withdrawal are not observed, you will not have the right to a refund of the amounts already paid to Ofmecc Srl; however, you may have back, at your own expense, the products in the condition in which they were returned to Ofmecc Srl. If this is not the case, Ofmecc Srl may keep the products as well as any amounts already paid for their purchase.
Withdrawal may be reported via fax (+39-0535-26731) or e-mail (info@tea-sense.com), provided that it is confirmed by registered letter with return receipt addressed to Ofmecc Srl, Via 25 Aprile 151, 41037 Mirandola (MO), Italy, within 48 hours of sending the fax or e-mail.
This notification must specify the relevant order, the desire to withdraw from the purchase, and the product or products for which you intend to exercise your right of withdrawal; you must attach a copy of the documentation that was received with the order. |

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING OUR PRODUCTS |
|
PREPARATION
Before using your Tea-Sense® teapot for the first time, rinse it thoroughly with warm water and then dry it, both inside and out, with a soft cloth.
To begin using your teapot, fill it with water and place it on the burner until the water begins boiling; empty it and repeat this operation at least once more.
If you do not use the teapot to boil the water, make sure you warm the teapot before pouring the water into it.
AFTER USE
Each time you have finished using the teapot, always empty it of any water remaining inside.
Remove any tea residue and rinse with just hot water; after this operation dry the teapot in a dry place.
To wash the teapot externally, use a soft cloth and then carefully dry it with delicate dabbing motions.
WARNINGS
Do not use the teapot in microwave ovens.
Do not rub the teapot with abrasives and do not use any detergent; you simply need to rinse it with warm water and dry it after each use.
Do not leave tea or water inside it for a long time. Always dry the teapot’s exterior using a soft cloth while it is still warm.
Contact with salt and oil is not recommended.
Do not wash in the dishwasher.
Do not suddenly cool the teapot while it is still warm.
The inside of the teapot is enameled; therefore, be careful not to scratch the surface.
SOME ADVICE FOR PREPARING A GOOD CUP OF TEA
Always use tea of excellent quality.
The water is very important: if possible, use mountain spring water. If this is not possible, you may also use filtered tap water or good still bottled water that is low in mineral content.
To boil the water, you can use your Tea-Sense® teapot; otherwise, use a recipient made of enameled iron, stainless steel, or flameproof glass. Avoid using aluminum (it can leave a residue) or terracotta (it holds heat).
The temperature of the water depends on the type of tea you are using. The ideal water temperature is 90°C (194°F) for most black teas and 70°C (158°F) for most green teas.
Some types of tea have special requirements: follow the specific instructions in these cases.
According to the “Book of Tea”, an ancient Chinese text on tea, there are three precise stages of boiling:
The first boil is “when the little bubbles, like the eye of fishes, swim on the surface”.
The last boil is “when the billows surge wildly in the kettle”.
The right moment to turn off the gas is at the second boil, “when the bubbles are like crystal beads rolling in a fountain”.

WARRANTY |

With regard to any product defects, the warranty is applicable, for the replacement of such products, for a period of 24 (twenty-four) months from the date of delivery of said products.
Regarding payments:
The security of your information is one of the highest priorities for us here at TEA-SENSE®, and we will do our utmost to protect the information you provide to us. To help us keep your personal data completely confidential, you have to:
- Keep your password secret
- Use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) transactions

Information concerning the use of personal details (as per Legislative Decree 196/2003 article 13)
Under the provisions and for the purposes of art. 13 of the Legislative Decree 196/2003 on personal data protection – Ofmecc Srl with registered offices in Mirandola (MO) Via 25 Aprile,151- is the “Holder” of the data process (in charge for decisions regarding processing purposes, methods and tools as well as adoption of data security measures) informs the users of the website that:
Methods and purposes of data processing
All personal details provided by users and potential customers will be subject to manual and computerized processing in compliance with the law in force and including all actions in accordance with art. 4, paragraph 1, letter a) of Legislative Decree 196/2003. In any case all data are collected and processed in compliance with the law in force and for uses connected to the providing of commercial information regarding the services on offer, managing needs relating to contracts and pre contract agreements, as well as for statistical information about website access and user profile. Registration is free. Default in completing the registration process will anyway prevent Ofmecc Srl from sending its newsletter and supplying its services. Any submitted personal details will be managed and stored manually and/or using computerized archives and in any case in accordance with the relevant legislation in force in order to guarantee the security and protection of all data.
Sensitive data
Please do not enter any sensitive data (relating to race or ethnic origin, political opinion, religious or other beliefs of similar nature, membership of trade unions, as well as information concerning physical or mental health and sexual life). Any sensitive data entered by the subjects will be immediately erased, unless you formally allow Ofmecc Srl to process those data by providing a written declaration.
Communication, knowledge and transmission of data
The data will not be forwarded to third parties. You are kindly requested to update your details if any changes occur by contacting Ofmecc Srl as per art. 11, letter (c) of the said law in order to process only precise and updated information.
Rights of the Data Subject
Ofmecc Srl informs you that you can exercise your rights stated under art.7 Legislative Decree 196/2003 (as below reported in full) at any time as per art. 8, 9, 10 Legislative Law 196/2003.
Art. 7 Legislative Decree 196/2003 - Right of access to personal data and other rights
- The data subject shall have the right to obtain confirmations to the existence of personal data concerning him/her, regardless of its being already recorded, and communication of such data in an intelligible form.
- The data subject shall have the right to be informed:
- of the source of the personal data;
- of the purposes and methods of its processing;

Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on a computer’s hard drive only after receiving your authorization. The purpose of cookies is to streamline the analysis of web traffic or to note when a specific website is visited; they allow web applications to send information to individual users. No user information is gathered by the website. Cookies are not used for transmitting information of a personal nature. Absolutely no persistent cookies or user tracking systems of any type are used.

Paying for your online purchases with your credit card is completely secure and protected.
This operation is not handled by the server at TEA-SENSE®, but directly by the bank Banca Sella.
All your personal data and credit card information are transmitted through a secure server by means of SSL protocol (Secure Sockets Layer) to protect your information. When entering your credit card information you will see a lock appear at the bottom of the browser window; this signifies that the website is encrypted, that is, protected.
The server will confirm your credit card number in an automated manner that does not allow a human to have access to it.
Our company never sees and does not keep any information from your credit card. |

APPLICABLE LAW AND RESOLUTION OF DISPUTES
The sales contract between the Customer and Ofmecc Srl is considered to be stipulated in Italy and governed by Italian law. All disputes regarding the application, execution, interpretation, or violation of the sales contracts stipulated on line through our website are under the jurisdiction of Italian law. With the exception of those cases specified by Art. 63 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 206/2005, any dispute between the parties with regard to the application, execution, interpretation, or violation of the present contract will be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Modena. |
